Michelle Siegel, LCSW

About

My name is Michelle Siegel and as a clinician, I strive to provide a compassionate, caring, and non-judgmental safe space where individuals can be who they are and express their feelings freely. I enjoy helping to empower my clients and encouraging them to see their strengths. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the states of New York and Florida.

I provide individual, family and group therapy. My main areas of focus include ADHD/ADD, anxiety, depression, family issues, self-esteem issues, and relationship difficulties. I have worked with survivors of domestic violence and am passionate about working with those experiencing life transitions as well as women’s mental health issues. Within women’s issues, I assist those experiencing infertility/pregnancy loss, maternal mental health and perinatal mood and anxiety disorders.

My approach to therapy stems from a CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and strength-based viewpoint which helps you detach from unhelpful ways of thinking and re-shaping your thoughts to see things from a different lens and perspective. I also incorporate Motivational Interviewing into my work which is a goal-oriented form of communication that strengthens one's enthusiasm and commitment to their goals. Additionally, I am trained in PEARLS (Program to Encourage Active, Rewarding Lives) which I have used with my older clients for depression therapy to reduce symptoms.

In addition to English, I am fluent in Spanish. I look forward to working with you!
